Just bought an 850 T5 CD AUTO and oh my god does it shift 225bhp standard but there are a couple of mods on it like a turbo boost valve, performance exhaust and air intake and filter over 340bhp. Raced a scooby and it wasted it, was well chuffed and probably felt a lot safer than the other driver. Built like the proverbial brick ???? house. absolutely solid and no faults what so ever. I will from this day on always be a Volvo man!

Just bought a 850 T5 M (95)with 175,000 miles on the clock there is absolutely nothing mechanically or electronically faulty with this car, feel totally safe being in this car, loads of room, great for long distance driving due to superb comfort, outstanding performance for a heavy estate (225BHP) as standard, quite heavy on the fuel consumption probably due to the turbo almost constantly running. If you get a chance to buy one, GO FOR IT!! you will not be dissapointed.

Bought my 20v 850 GLT estate auto as a fill in car, 3 years later still enjoying it! Couple of niggles like the intermittent AC but on the whole have done over 50K miles in the three years and has now done 160K with absolutely no problems other that usual servicing. Get one you will not be disappointed.

Excellent all round. It's great - a comfortable, roomy, fast and safe car. High specification with no issues. Mpg is not the best around town, but who cares when the car is a Volvo and it can take off like an Apollo rocket from a standing start, maintain safety in all conditions, and you just feel there is nothing else out there that even comes close to the name. It's a shame they stopped making this model and the estate as they are unique... but then I'm biased. Safe motoring!
