This is my third Passat, it won't be the last! Easily the best car I have owned. Had about 3" of water in it last winter as the pollen filter leaked and let water in-CHECK THIS OUT AS THERE IS A MODULE UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT, I was lucky but you might not be and they are v.expensive things to replace. no other problems to report. cruising at 80-100mph still returns 47mpg!!! Its done 95k and still purrs.

This is easily the best car I have ever owned. I have owned it now for 3 years and it has been entirely trouble-free. It is very well finished, reliable, comfortable and cheap to run. Everything a family car should be, and more. I will definitely buy another one.

My first VW since my K-reg Beetle (in orange), though I've had two Audis in between. A great all-round car with plenty of zip and good mpg. Would I buy another? I'd have to try the new model out first - reviews are good. Although the thought of a push button handbreak on a steep bank in traffic gives me the jitters. I'd be more likely go for a fast Golf TDI with a normal handbrake. Audis are great cars but expensive to buy and maintain. Not worth the extra.

I have a 2002 1.9 TDi SE which I find great value for money, a comfy drive and very safe. Would highly recommend it to anyone, but have the c.v. joints replaced after 50k miles to keep the steering in perfect condition. All in all a 5 star car.
