Had a Bora 2.0 Petrol SE before this one; the Turbo Diesel version is simply stunning. I now own a TDI PD 130 SE. Performance is much better than the petrol 2-litre car and I'm getting an average of 51 mpg against the petrol engine's 38 mpg. Speaks for itself really.

Completely reliable during my year with the car (a 2002 model - bought when three years old). Don't expect too much from it performance-wise but it is generally a good car.

A great car overall; economy and performance are excellent. Handling and ride are very good, better than Golf version. Only criticism is the engine, which is loud and unrefined compared to many diesels. It's a bit cramped in the rear, but boot space is excellent. Overall a great car, and far better value used than a Mk4 Golf.
