Had the car two and a half years and not an ounce of trouble, goes like a rocket, handles like its on rails. High level of trim and build quality is excellent. only one thing I dislike-the stupid indicator stalk- silly, silly, silly!!!

I am quite pleased with the Vectra, although the interior (leather) has worn quite a lot. Maybe that is because I do quite a lot on the motorways. The car pulls well in 6TH gear but lacks the acceleration in and around town. I have the one with heated seats and that stopped working about 3 monthsafterh purchasing the brand new. It lacks the prestige of a BMW or Mercedes or the luxury of a Volvo. At around 3Ok the front shock absorbers went as well as the brake disks. They cost ovefr £400 to put right.

All round good reliable car and despite the rocketing fuel tax still fairly good on the pocket regarding running costs, ive replaced rear shocks at 59000 but 59000 thats round the world and back and with our roads/ploughed fields and speed bumps/mountains. I favour vectra over fords mondeo simply cos fords seem so tinny.boot space is gygantic and although 2.0dti still pulls its weight very well, and ideal for the diy'er servicer.

I had this car about four years and I deeply regretted buying this piece of garbage. In just four years only the repairs cost about 6000 euros. It needs an oil refill very often. the radio is rubbish, the suspension is terrible, the electrical system is terrible (didnt work properly from the beginning) but safety and comfort were pretty good. 10 airbags, nice ride - but if you can avoid it like the plague!

The car pulls well but it is let down by reliability. The ride is at the same time soft but hard. The car rolls around in corners but on the motorway it is a dream. as it pulls well in 4th gear. 80 to 100 takes just over 3 seconds which is amazing. overall the car is good but I would prefer the Audi A4 TSI 130bhp. It has less power and a bit slower but performs better at every test.

Rubbish. Expensive to keep on road, always in garage with little faults. Failed first MOT due to needing new suspension bushes and rear shock absorbers. Big bills and Vauxhall don't care. Car is going two years earlier than originally planned and I am avoiding Vauxhall for ever...

I am quite pleased with the car but unfortunatley the car dosen't pick up when hit the accelerater. Much rather buy a Saab tid Vector. Overall I think the Vectra is average.

I bought my Vectra in February this year. It had just 4K on the clock and came direct from Vauxhall. I am a private buyer and was looking for a performance diesel with a bit of style and comfort. I thoroughly tested a Mondeo ST TDCi 150 with all its leather and bells and whistles, Passat SE TDci 130 and the Vectra. The Vectra was the cheapest of the three and to be perfectly truthful was by far and away the best value for money. The others were £2500 and £2800 more to buy for same year, mileage etc even after serious negotiation. The Vectra has been an absolute pleasure to own and I will definately buy another. It can where required, outgun some of the more sporty petrol hot hatches out there and on a motorway run can even out drag cars like the Subaru Imprezas, ST Focus and the big boys Beamers etc. Dont get me wrong, it wont beat these guys on the 0-60 sprint or the top speed figures but it will surprise many in that all important 60 - 100 zone where legal of course. The most satisfying thing is that although it has outstanding performance, its still a diesel and even when driven hard I still get over 45mpg and my road tax has virtually halved. Needless to say my insurance is cheaper too. Now whose laughing ? I am, all the way to the bank ! I have had no reliability issues whatsoever. No little faults or facia rattles or anything that has required dealer attention. Needless to say it does everything I want it to with comfort and performance. I have even had it remapped and is now pushing upwards of 185BHP with a torque increase of approx 30 per cent and still achieves 40mpg. If anyone has any doubts, just go for a testdrive in one, then think of it having a 30 per cent increase in that power. You wont be sorry. A great car and I cant praise it highly enough. I will definately be buying another.
