I had a 140k miles L-reg (06/94). Steering was heavier than a Micra, but ok. Gear change was quite bad. 40 mpg minimum (up to 70 mpg cruising on A roads). Slow. Visibility was better than average, yet not good. Airy. I liked the way it drove on B roads.

Brilliant little car. I own an X-reg 1.0i 12v - it's reliable, comfortable and pokey.

I've had my Corsa for about 2 months and the only problem I have had with it is that the thermostat is stuck. Apart from that it's a reliable little car.

My first car, a good runner. I have 2 Corsas of the same age (L-reg), and they both have very similar faults - which are electrical and annoying... The thermostat is a pain to get to, as you have to take off the cambelt... it's not easy to line up again, compared to the Fiesta which is easy to access. But overall a reliable car.

My corsa was my first car, and to be honest I couldn't have asked for much more from a car on my limited student budget. Its done 90000 miles and yes, it does rattle and shake a bit but its incredibly reliable and I've been all over in it. The engine is a bit noisy but apparently thats due to the 12v design - this was one of the first cars to have it so Ive been told. My one problem with it is that on the motorway, although it will belt along at almost 100 on the flat or downhill, as soon as you hit a hill you have to drop it into 4th to get anywhere near 70. But I guess you maybe get this problem with all small engined cars. Having said that its extremely economical, starts every time and has never broken down. And the heaters work crazily well. Its also surprisingly roomy in the back for such a small car. It might not be the most glamorous of cars but if you just want one that will get you from A to B every time then go for this one.

A fine little car with loads of room. Good gearbox, mixed motoring gives about 34mpg. Engine sings at high revs. Quality finish with good steering. Long roof gives loads of boot room for a large dog and dog guard. Recommended for a small family. An under-rated car that drives and handles very well.
