An excellent estate car with the surety of four wheel drive. Mine is the automatic version which makes it even better, manuals suffer cold clutch judder and you have to change gear! Get one with the allweather pack (AWP) as this adds a huge sunroof, heated seats, air con and front fogs.
MPG is not too bad.Subaru parts are expensive. The oil sump pan rusts and this has just cost me £60 for the part. An easy car for mechanics though. My best car in 30 years.

I bought this to last 10yrs, it has done 304,000 miles of trouble free milage, in that time. The exhaust system is the orginal a short engine was put in at 265,000 because of my own feeling about the engine. The constant four wheel drive make it very safe in all conditions and speed. You need to lern to manage the tyres they tend to wear on the inside, I am now getting 40,000 per set. A great friend I think I have spent 5500 hrs in it.

This would be a good car if it's set up correctly, it seems the dealers can't be bothered to get t right,eg: all 4 wheels need to be set up for correct tyre wear, servicing costs too high, it uses too much fuel even on long runs. Interior does not wear well and dated looks. High price to pay for a small car.
