The Superb is a super car. I've been using mine as a taxi for 10 months now and it has been fantastic all round; the only gripe being stiff/heavy doors. Apart from that, it's... what can I say... SUPERB.

I've had my new Superb for one month. It has unusually loud engine noise which I will ask my dealer to look at. Other than that, it is well-built, full of extras, has the best rear seat space outside of an S Class Mercedes, and is a delight to drive and own.

I have had this car since 2003 from new it has covered 230,000 as a taxi and family car and doing a 12 hour shift is a doodle it regularly returns in excess of 750 miles per tank, the best to date 896 on a long run. The emissions where that low today when it was tested for its MOT they failed to register The only 2 small things that need to be sorted by Skoda are the boot access is very restricted once you have 2 large cases in thats it no more, due to the back window, The new Superb thats coming, is like a hatchback so that will help, and it needs a rear courtesy light that the driver can turn on and of so passengers can fasten there seat belts, every modern car should have this as well They are dam good tow cars as well we dont even know we have our large 6 berth behind. There is one down side and that is the cost of changing the timing belt at a dealer almost £500 but you can half that by going elsewhere top tip change the tension-er and water-pump at the same time, the water pumps can shatter due to the new tension applied by the new belt

Lovely, though you can't help wondering if it should be chauffeur-driven, with so much room down back. Engine noise in the diesel seems a bit loud at low speeds, but steering and handling are responsive. Sublime automatic gearbox, which is one of the best I've tried. One electrical glitch at 900 km (one light staying on); otherwise very impressed with the build quality, especially the interior (never mind the fake wood: it's well put together).
