Flagship body with standard interior and Italian VM diesel engine. Same front-wheel drive layout as every other Rover from Mini up so handles well. Long car but narrow because Honda wanted to take advantage of Japanese tax rules! A few were specified with full Sterling interior which gives you Jag level comfort with Polo running costs. Very reliable (the same engine - though better tuned - as Land Rovers); no need to start worrying until over 300,000 miles. Will top 120mph & give 50 mpg average in normal use. Neglected examples will rust round the edges. Electrics and interior trim are not its best features but faults are easy to spot and fix.
