I'm due to change having had the car from new and am devastated that I cannot lay my hands on a similar 54/05 model for love nor money. Not quickest away from the lights but acceleration thru 2nd/3rd/4th is impressive. I estimate 55 mpg on the 18000 miles I have done per year. I'll be sorry to part with it - in fact if I don't get a decent trade in, I'll be running it for the next four years!

I have had one of these from new in 2000 - originally my company car, I privately purchased it when it was 4 years old. I change the oil every 6000 miles and have had 136,000 trouble-free miles from this car. ALL the electrical items still work and is the most comfortable car I have had in the last 20 yrs. Not the fastest away from the lights but try it at 50-90mph or up the hills and it really holds its own. I believe the Rover L series engine is well up to the mark.

For the money you pay for these cars it really is great value. Spares are still easy to get.

A far better car than the British" media/press would have you believe.
