I use mine as a taxi. It is a great all rounder and after four years af service is still running well. I would highly recommend it for family use.

Owned mine since 2003, no particular reliability problems. 90 bhp model in my view a little underpowered although goes well enough when you get it up to cruising speeds. oe equipment Clutch only gave up the ghost at 110k miles even then it was the thrust bearing that siezed, rest of clutch still serviceable although quite a big job to replace so opted for full kit. All in all would buy another.

Excellent purchase, took a big chance opting out of company car scheme. Similar issue with clutch (thrust bearing) engine slow from 70 - 90 unless you opt to have the engine 'chipped', then matches most modern performance diesels. 44 - 48 MPG depending on how hard you drive it. Electrics are a problem- airbag warning on dash and full filer access opened That said its still going strong with 140,000 and sounds like new, would recommend unless worried about its ageing looks

A very under-rated car. Cheap to buy second-hand, but as good as any luxury car I've driven. Very comfortable, very fast, covers miles with ease. Fully loaded, and everything is still working perfect at >130k miles. Still growls from the V6 - lovely! No problems at all. Handles very well. Only problem is the badge - nobody thinks you have a V6 in the standard looking 406! Not always a bad thing though...
