Great car... bought used one in great condition (7 yrs old). The new one is too expensive, costs almost 20.000 euro in Croatia. Comfortable, suits for families... easy handling... strong and reliable (110 hp).

This is a true chic car. I have a black one-worth £500 more then a normal 307. Gives excellent MPG is very roomy, has a big car feel, massive boot and loads of gadgets as standard. The car is very comfortable in its class and performs very well especially on motorway journeys with its immense Torquay engine. However, the bad points are; it feels and drives like a MPV. its very bad around corners. 306s were much better. The built quality is very poor. The interior starts to fall apart from 70,000 miles. Expect annoying electrical faults. Abs, horn & release bearing (need to buy a new clutch when this fails as it brakes the clutch) are very week on these cars. Expect to pay £250+ a time to have these common faults repaired. Other then that its a lovely car. If you fancy a car that has lots of presence, has a mpv feel, great looks, gadgets, gives excellent mpg, cheap road tax & insurance-then this is the car for you. On the other hand if reliability & build quality is important to you then stay away as every penny you save on the fuel will cost you in repairs. For me reliability was important as I only ever drive 6000 miles per annum and with the current prices of fuel it isn't worth it. I would Rather buy a German or Japanese car. However if this car is for you make sure you take out warranty with warranty direct. Will save you on the long run.

Bought the car, it has never stopped giving me problems. first the abs light came on, cost £300.00 to repair(turned out to be the abs ecu and rear sensor-common fault on these). Just when I thought the car was great the car started horning all by itself...had to take the fuse out to stop the horn and take it to peugeot turns out to be another common fault (earting ring behind the airbag_..another £80.00..to repair. Then 1 month later the release bearing snaps damaging the clutch & part of the gearbox...£500 to repair. I have had enough of this car & will be selling it...its a same as it is very good on fuel and feels very comfortable.only downside is drives and feels like a mpv. But has to go as it will be cheaper to own a bmw then this car.
