A fabulous car for your money, that makes many a newer car seem slow. Handling is exceptional for such a small car, although being so low to the ground you can feel the bumps. So if you after a raw driving experience, then look no further than the 106 GTi

I own this car, it's my first car... My other half crashed it and "wrote it off" but after a lengthy fight with the insurance company it is now back out on the road! (It wasn't a real write-off, they just didn't want to pay to repair it.) Other than being a bit of a grumpy starter first thing in the morning, it is a great car. The steering is good, and it feels comfortable going round corners at speed! The parts are hard to come by but are worth persevering. A great girl's car and first car. Loads of leg room. I love the fact that there is a little shelf you can put your left foot on when not using the clutch.

Good looking little car. Nippy 1.4i engine. Buy the GTI if you can afford the insurance - it's like a road-going go-kart!
