Happy Serena Owner
Overall Rating | |
I have owned my Serena for 3 years now and my overall verdict is, fantastic car. It is a very practical workhorse / family vehicle. It has been very reliable in the time we have had it, the interior has stood up very well to my children's abuse. Once you get up to speed it zips along happily all day. Great driving position and flexible accommodation (8 seats and all can lay flat to form a large bed or be folded away to become a van, with no seats to remove). It is very easy to manouver and park due to high seating position and sharp turning circle. It is stable on the road and feels safe to drive, although it can seem a little bouncy when empty. Repairs can be expensive if you buy genuine Nissan parts but if you can work on the thing yourself it is very cheap to maintain with lots of after sales parts suppliers around. It is like a mans best friend, does what you want it to do, when you want to do it. Yes it's not the prettiest thing around, yes it can be slow, yes it can seem noisy, but like a mans best friend it is always ready to go when you need it and over time you will come to utterly respect it. We did France in this thing (1850 miles round trip) man that was good fun, Scotland was exiting going through the highlands (1300 miles round trip). If you have a low budget and need to move people or lots of luggage you will not be disappointed.
