ML270 CDI

Quite honestly this was the worst vehicle that I have ever owned. It failed to meet my expectations in pretty much every area. Slow, uneconomical, ride appalling, build quality dreadful, flimsy bodywork. Cheap looking plastics inside, seats unsupportive, tailgate opens just below head height (ouch!). £650 option of detachable towbar, but no one tells you you need another £17 adaptor to use the electrics.
I hated it from the moment I got it and when it finally went back to Mercedes after 6 months it was like a cloud being lifted! It put me off MB for life...

I have had my ML for over a year. I find it comfortable, versatile, and it suits my needs. I use it for work, as it has the class for visiting clients and transporting clients during the week; and at the weekends, it is a dog transporter and tows the horse box to the occasional show. It does all this well. The only gripe I have is that if it goes wrong, it's a 4 figure sum to sort it - I have never had a service or repair for under £1,000. Even wing mirrors are £4-600 each! This is not an off-road vehicle, it's more like a well paid landscape gardener; it has the wellies, but doesn't want to ruin its manicure.
