An eye catching car that get's everyone's attention. The ultimate status symbol. Great value with brilliant performance. Only downside is servicing costs if direct with Mercedes Benz.

A lovely car, but I just had to get a few things fixed, and MB charges like a wounded bull... I won't be going back there next time something goes wrong (and I hope that it won't!)

I have owned by 320cdi for four years, and have covering over 80k in that time. I purchased it with 100k on the clock already. Overall, I think it is the best car I have owned, which includes three previous Mercs. I mainly do extra-urban miles, and average 44mpg. Urban, in traffic can be half that figure though. In 4 years, I have had two break-downs, both cold-starting problems, which were easily rectified. It is the most comfortable car I have owned, and probably the most reliable. It does get through tyres quite quickly, and I am not sure why that is. Despite the current mileage, there are no annoying squeaks or rattles from the cabin, which contrasts with the c-class I owned previously. It handles fine for my style of driving, but would not suit anyone who likes to take corners fast. There is one reason why I would not buy another, nor recommend the range to others without reservation: rust. Mine was completely rust-free when I purchased it, but now it is rusting around all four wheel-arches, which is why it is about to get traded in.
