A good drive although a bit hard maybe for some. Not quite gutsy enough, wish I had bought the 1.5. Looks very stylish. Looks more of a car than what it cost.

Absolutely dire
Not my words, but those of motoring correspondent Jeremy Clarkson. To paraphrase
'Rio was dreadful, Ugly; driving position excruciating; quality of the interior trim even worse than a Barnsley market trader's Pacamac; power comes in lumps and the noise. Oh my God. The actual performance figures don't look too bad if you're used to walking; Price looks like one of the biggest jokes in automotive history. This kind of money would get you a real car',

At least his car worked - mine had an intermittent fault which despite repeated attempts the dealer failed to rectify. After loads of aggravation and reducing my wife to tears the car had to go.
So why did I buy such a rubbish car? The answer is simple - at the time it appeared to have good specifications for the price. How wrong can you be? I ended up paying out thousands of pounds extra for a better car. If you buy cheap you get cheap!
If the car was absolutely dire what about KIA customer services? They offered a half price service in writing by way of compensation then reneged on their word when I tried to request the discount. They claimed that the offer was only for the Rio and that they would have made an alternative offer if I had told them that I had traded the Rio in for a Cerato ! This despite the fact that it was their own office that had brokered the deal.
Absolutely dire just about sums it up.
