The Wagon R+ is a very practical small people carrier - even if it may not be the most modern looking. It's also easy to drive, well equipped and cheap to run. Plus, for older drivers, it's easy to get in-and-out of.

Road Test
Wagon R+ makes a great city car. Its compact dimensions are perfect for sliding into tight parking spaces and its tight turning circle makes light work of three-point turns. The original 1.3 is nippy, while the 1.2, which arrived in 2005, offers better economy. Both units struggle on the motorway and when there's a full load.
In the back, there's a decent amount of luggage space. The seats also split and fold for extra room, which, combined with the tall shape means it can hold very large objects. You can only get two in the back, but head- and legroom is good. Unfortunately the crashy ride and engine noise lets an otherwise comfortable car down.
Quality is very good and although the dashboard may look basic, it's robust and easy to use. The car's also cheap to run, has low fuel consumption, affordable insurance and good value main dealer servicing.
