Image wise the DB7 still has that exclusive, superior edge. This car is pure luxury and for the serious sports car enthusiast. The powerful V12 engine and luxurious cabin make this car a pure pleasure to drive.
For
- Impressive styling and heritage
- Powerful V12 engine
- Low depreciation
Against
- Part Jag part Ford
- Limited cabin space for taller occupants
- High running costs, 15 mpg, Group 20 insurance
Road Test
The cabin is not suitable for anyone tall but assuming you can fit in the surroundings are luxurious and driving is a smooth ride with a good level of noise suppression. This is a serious sports car and the back seats are so small they are only for tiny children or your briefcase. A large boot gives plenty of space for shopping and luggage. The car is long and parking is not easy when you can't see the front nose. Automatic version is a better ride as the manual gearbox can be clunky and not so smooth. Six supercharger and V12?s size makes this a powerful beast and gives no problem on overtaking. A traction control system is fitted as standard to protect in wet and at acceleration. Airbag is also standard. Servicing costs are high but depreciation is low so when you are ready to sell your beloved you should get good re-sale value.
