Overall Rating | |
The Colt supermini has failed to keep up with the pace of other modern city cars. It's been around for years and is long overdue for a replacement. Not very comfy or spacious
For
- A cheap used supermini
- Reasonable equipment levels except on basic 1.3
- Mitsubishi reliability and affordable running costs
Against
- Little image and a very dated design
- Most rivals ride better and offer greater driving pleasure
- Not much rear space
Road Test
Mitsubishi's entry in the city hatchback market is well past its sell by date. Colt has been around for years and despite price cuts and model revisions, it looks uninspiring and unremarkable. Small in comparison with other superminis and interior is low quality. Only 1.3 or 1.6 petrol models are available with modest performance and average fuel economy. There's no five-door version and space in the rear is restricted. As a second hand buy it is reliable and fairly durable but for the same money you could be driving an up-to-date Citroen C3 or Peugeot 206.
