Road Test

A highly desirable car with Giugiaro styling it screams Italian chic. Alfa stands for speed and style and the 159 follows this mantra. Stylish and sporty on the outside, the inside is leather clad with clear instruments and comfy seats to enjoy the ride. Available as a four-door saloon and the estate version called the Sportwagon. Under the bonnet the V6 Q4 engine is outstanding and handles around corners like a dream. The V6 is by far the fastest with 149mph and reaches 62mph in 7 seconds. Both petrol and diesel engines are superb with the petrol engines just having the edge on take-off. Diesel can be a little noisy when idling. Gear change is smooth and the brakes are sharp. You can't get any safer than the 5 Star Euro NCAP rating for occupant protection. All 159's have seven airbags as standard and the pedals are desinged to collapse under heavy impact. A serious alternative option to the 3-Series and a car to be proud of.
