- Are you happy with the documentation?
- Are your first impressions of car and seller favourable?
- Standing alongside the car with the seller, ask for its registration number.
- Does the colour match the description on the V5 document?
- Is there any obvious accident damage?
- Does the car appear clean inside and out?
- Do the number plates look the same age as the car? Or suspiciously newer?
- Are there any signs of scratching, tampering or re-riveting on the VIN plates?
- Does the visible wear-and-tear on the car correspond with its claimed age and mileometer reading?
- How does the seller feel about you arranging an expert car inspection?
